Thank You, Techies

Thank you in keyboard keys

From all of us here at Firebrand, an open letter to every worker in the tech industry.

You might have read it on the news.

Jack Dorsey, Twitter's CEO, has just donated $1 billion towards the fight against the coronavirus. Dorsey follows the example set by other tech leaders such as Bill and Melinda Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg. But even all this money is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the positive impact that the tech industry is having today.

However, this post isn't about Silicon Valley leaders; it's about YOU.

You, working in back-offices and labs, rail networks and power stations, keeping our infrastructure online.

You, anonymous techies from all corners of the industry, working tirelessly to enable first-line workers to save lives, scientists to research vaccines, and societies to keep afloat.

From all corners of the globe, software engineers, data scientists, cloud analysts and architects; interns, apprentices, project managers and product leads; network specialists and security officers keep our data safe - this one's for you.

And for you, our deepest gratitude. Keep making us proud.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
