Current Update - 01/04/2020

HMRC has already confirmed that any furloughed staff can continue to undertake training, and we're making sure all our apprentices can continue to learn through our Online Instructor-Led method.

Here's some of the feedback we've had so far:
“Even during the rough Corona times this was a nice experience of learning. Firebrand takes care of their students and you can feel it. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to better themselves.”
“We used the remote OIL service and it was like being in the classroom with regards using the labs and viewing the course presentation slides”
“It was a tough week of learning but I did just that learn. I feel like I have the knowledge to dive into the exams.”
“Amazing course very interesting and informative and also an engaging tutor”

Together, we'll ensure we maintain our commitment to our learners, employers and all stakeholders during this time.

Update 23/03/2020

Firebrand Apprenticeships are following guidelines issued by Public Health England so that we can play our part in trying to contain the virus. The safeguarding of our staff, learners and partners is our number one priority.

Whilst keeping in line with Government advice for schools, colleges and educational establishments, and keeping our learners safeguarding paramount in our minds, we are moving our residential delivery to a virtual solution with effect from Friday 20th March 2020 until further notice. Should you have any concerns, please raise them with your learning mentor in the first instance.

  • Sanitisers strategically placed across the training centre
  • Careful and thorough cleaning of all lab and class equipment/environment

My business and employer have stopped all travel

Firebrand Training is working with each of their customers individually. As an apprentice, we would work with your individual learning plan and look at where you are on your apprenticeship journey. Your learning mentor will be in touch and we will liaise with your employer directly about continuing your learning. Where your attendance has had to be rescheduled we will communicate with you to try to arrange a new date.

Joining Instructions for the Online Instructor Learning will be issued to you as you would normally receive from our Learner Services team.

If I get sick, will I still be able to continue and complete my apprenticeship?

Firebrand training recognises that there are circumstances where individuals may feel unwell or are self-isolating. In this instance please discuss with your Learning Mentor your situation. However, we are planning to continue all your learning and progression on your apprenticeships.

If I need to self-isolate or have been to any of the countries or areas listed by Public Health England, who should I contact Firebrand training to let them know?

You should notify your Learning Mentor in the first instance.
