The faces of Facebook

Have you ever thought about what it’d be like to have all Facebook users on one page? Neither have I, but creative technologist Natalia Rojas has.

The website might scare you for a second, because it looks like as if your screen just broke. But then you see the counter over this giant pool of colourful dots. 1,278,837,566 and counting. Counting fast. When hovering over the screen with your mouse you’ll see that each dot is a unique profile. Click and zoom in to see who “Face #129,566,945” is or whichever you prefer. They are all in chronological order of registration, making Mark Zuckerberg “Face #1”.

Natalia Rojas claims that the site does not store photos, names or any personal information whatsoever. Its sole purpose is to demonstrate the magnitude of Facebook from a different angle.

Can you spot your own profile?
